Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the setura.tr website, and what applies instead in our mobile apps. By using our site, you accept the use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make the site work properly, remember your preferences and improve your experience.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy covers the whole of the setura.tr website; the store section, where membership, cart and checkout steps take place, is part of the site and is subject to the same rules.
Separate rules apply to the mobile apps we publish on the App Store and Google Play; these are set out in section 5 below. Cookies and similar technologies used by Apple or Google on our apps' store pages and during purchases made through those stores fall outside this policy; the relevant store's own policies apply there.
3. Cookies We Use on Our Website
Our site takes a privacy-respecting approach and does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The technologies we use are:
- Essential (technical) cookies / local storage: Your browser's local storage (localStorage) is used to remember basic settings such as your language preference and cookie consent. This data is stored only on your device.
- setura_session: An essential (first-party) cookie used to keep signed-in members securely logged in. It is readable only by the server (HttpOnly) and expires after 30 days.
- setura_cart: An essential (first-party) cookie that remembers the products you add to your cart. It is readable only by the server (HttpOnly) and expires after 30 days.
- setura-cookie-ack: Remembers that you have acknowledged the cookie notice; it is not sent to the server and is stored only in your browser's local storage.
- Third-party fonts: Our site uses Google Fonts; this service may process your IP address while delivering fonts. For full privacy, fonts can be self-hosted on our server.
- Embedded map: Our contact page embeds Google Maps. When you open that page, Google may process your IP address and use its own cookies to provide the map service.
Server records are not cookies: The IP address and browser information (User-Agent) recorded when an order is confirmed, payment transaction records, email delivery records and download access records do not place any file on your device; they are kept on our servers to ensure security and to prove delivery of digital products. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics cookies, advertising or remarketing cookies, or social media pixels on our site. We do not track visitors' behaviour across sites, do not build profiles for that purpose, and do not share your data with advertising networks.
Because only essential cookies are used, the site has no optional cookie categories and no preference panel; the notice bar shown at the bottom of the page simply lets you acknowledge that you have seen this policy. The embedded map and font services mentioned above are not tracking tools that we have installed; they are technical components the relevant provider needs in order to deliver its service.
5. Our Mobile Apps
Cookies are a browser technology; the mobile apps we publish on the App Store and Google Play do not use cookies. Instead, they keep the limited information they need in order to work in your device's own storage:
- App preferences: Settings such as language and appearance, along with content you create inside the app, are stored locally on your device.
- Session information: If you sign in to an account inside the app, the session information needed to keep you signed in is stored securely on your device.
- Deleting this data: This data is deleted when you remove the app from your device or clear the app's data from your operating system settings.
Some of our mobile apps (e.g. Karpuzo) contain ads so that they can be offered free of charge. In those apps, ads are served through Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC); to serve and measure ads, AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), approximate location, and device and usage information. Ad personalisation depends on your consent: on iOS 14.5 and later you are asked for App Tracking Transparency permission, and users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a Google User Messaging Platform consent form on first launch. If you decline, you are shown non-personalised ads. Our apps that contain no ads process no data for advertising purposes. Setura itself does not build any persistent identifier or profile from this data to match you across devices, and the setura.tr website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
For details of the device and usage data processed while you use our apps, see our Data Protection Notice (KVKK).
6. How Can You Manage Cookies and Local Data?
You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. However, if you block essential cookies/local storage, some features of the site (e.g. remembering your language preference, staying signed in, or keeping your cart) may not work properly.
In mobile apps, you can delete the information stored locally by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
